X18
The address. The whole property. Everything we do together lives here.
In Luke 15, Jesus tells three stories back to back. A lost sheep. A lost coin. A lost son. Three things lost in three different places.
Drifted little by little, step by step, pain by pain, decision by decision, until distance became home.
Near the activity but missing from the purpose. In the room, around worship, around the language of faith, but unseen and unfound. In the house, but not yet at the table.
Lost in pride. Lost in shame. Lost in appetite. Lost in identity. Lost in the lie that freedom is found far from the Father.
In every story, heaven is not casual about what is missing. The shepherd leaves the ninety nine. The woman sweeps the house. The Father runs to the road. The heart of Jesus is clear: lost things matter to God.
Somewhere along the way, the modern church lost the seat. We built rooms but forgot tables. We gathered crowds but missed names. We filled services but failed to form disciples. We counted attendance but overlooked absence.
In the kingdom, people are not numbers in a room. They are sons and daughters with a name, a story, a calling, and a seat at the table. That is what we are going after.
X18 is not just a system. Crews are not just home groups. This is a discipleship movement designed to make a big church small again.
There is a seat for the lost sheep who wandered.
There is a seat for the lost coin hiding in plain sight.
There is a seat for the lost son who thought he could never come home.
The goal is not just to get people into a service. The goal is to get people into family. Into discipleship. Into covering. Into formation. Into a place where they can be known, loved, challenged, healed, trained, and sent.
We refuse to build a church where people can be present but still lost.
This is the heart of X18. The Exodus 18 picture of leaders of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens. The Jesus model of the crowd, the seventy two, the twelve, and the three. Not ministry built on one person carrying everything. A spiritual family where everyone is seen, shepherded, discipled, and activated.
Big enough to reach the city.
Small enough to know your name.
There is a chair with their name on it. We will not stop until the table is full.
Discipleship is the foundation. Crews are the house. Clubs are the rooms. City is the yard. All of it is X18.
X18 is for every person at Fearless. There is a seat with your name on it. We use the Room at the Table app to find each other, walk it out together, and pull each other in.
The address. The whole property. Everything we do together lives here.
The base everything is built on. Without it nothing else stands.
Where Fearless lives every Thursday. The walls and the roof.
Where Fearless does community together. Each room has its own activity.
Where Fearless reaches out. The front porch and the street.
Crews happen every Thursday across the city. Every SZN, leaders recommit, new homes launch, and people can jump in. Crews do not stop. SZNs are the operational rhythm behind the Thursday night that never breaks.
Every Thursday, people know:
For a lot of people, Crews are where they finally feel known.
Every Crew Leader decides: continue, multiply, change homes, or take a season off.
New leaders and hosts are trained by Fearless pastoral staff.
The Crew list is finalized and promoted.
Everyone goes to Crew. Existing Crews keep running. New Crews launch.
Pastoral staff own and lead Sunday Launch training. Every Crew Leader, Host Leader, City Leader, Club Leader, and Admin Leader attends.
"Crew SZN is launching. Join a Crew." Vision push from stage.
Crew Leader and Host training, vision, and celebration. Led by pastoral staff.
Crews happen everywhere. New and existing.
Crews do not gather on the following Thursdays. These are the only Thursdays per year that Crews skip:
Every other Thursday of the year, Crews happen.
We don't do endless groups. We disciple in SZNs.
One city. One mission. One Crew at a time. Every Thursday.
Every SZN has the same backstage rhythm: decision deadline → training Sunday → list finalized → Launch Sunday → Launch Thursday. Dates below are anchored to each Launch Thursday.
Note for Winter 2026 to 27: the 1 week before Thursday lands on Thanksgiving (Thu Nov 26). List finalization shifts to Sun Nov 29, the same day as Launch Sunday.
Discipleship is the foundation of X18. Without it, nothing else stands. This is the structure of how we disciple, who disciples who, and the rhythm that holds it all together. It all carries one command: go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded.
Built on Exodus 18:21 and Matthew 28:16–20.
The shape every Disciple is being formed into. Every Crew, every Club, every City outreach is in service of CHURCH.

We don’t use people to build the church.
We use the Church to build people into disciples of Jesus.
Every Disciple at Fearless is led by one same gender leader. That leader sits inside a four tier structure modeled on Exodus 18:21. This is the foundation X18 is named after.
There are two of these to one for the guys under PJ, one for the girls under PC. Males disciple males, females disciple females, all the way up. Each apex carries 1,000 people through this exact structure. Combined Fearless saturation: 2,000.
Growth is organic. You do not chase a tier. You disciple your people well, and the tier finds you. An X becomes an XL when 5 of their 10 Disciples mature into Xs themselves.
Males disciple males. Females disciple females. This applies at every tier, all the way up.
Every Sunday night and Thursday night for 12 weeks. Three layers, four Sunday nights, one weekly connect call. Base members (people not leading anyone yet) attend their group and get pulled in through the connect rotation. Everyone leading at least one person carries all four Sunday nights.
The 1000s meet with their 10. PJ with his 10. PC with her 10. CHURCH based study, prepared questions, done for you. Once a month.
Everyone leading at least one person. PJ or PC teach the front. Then each leader breaks out with their own group. Once a month.
In person. Once a month. Celebration, vision, connection across hubs.
Once a month. In person every other month, on Zoom the other months. Worship and prayer.
Each leader makes one connect call a week and cycles through the people directly under them. Two people means every other week. Five people means a five week rotation. Format flexible: phone, coffee, lunch, prayer. The point is staying in contact and pulling people in.
The format is flexible. The intention is not. Acceptable formats:
Group hangs do not count. The meeting must be at least 20 minutes of focused, intentional conversation.
The 10s tier carries this mandate. Every 10s leader has 10 Disciples on paper. But the X is doing more than meeting with their ten. They are compelling. They are searching, chasing, meeting, and seating.
We search for lost coins in the house.
We follow the Shepherd’s heart for lost sheep.
We meet returning sons at the door.
And we set the table when they come home.
The coin is lost inside the house. Some people are close to church, around church, even sitting in church, but still disconnected, unseen, unknown, or spiritually lost.
The sheep wandered. The shepherd does not say, “well, they know where church is.” He goes after them.
The son was not lost because nobody knew where he was. He was lost because he was far from the Father. When he comes home, the Father does not shame him at the door. He meets him with compassion, covering, robe, ring, sandals, and a table.
Coins are found by careful searching.
Sheep are found by the Shepherd’s pursuit.
Sons are restored by the Father’s compassion.
And all of heaven rejoices when the lost come home.
Crews are the Small Groups of X18. The House. Where Fearless lives every Thursday.
Home Crews gather at 7PM, in homes across the city. Online Crews gather Thursday at their designated time. Two styles, same rhythm, same table.
A Crew is where community meets the Word of God. Where food is the centerpiece, not a side dish. Where new people get welcomed and called by name. Where the table fills up.
Every Crew is led by a Male and Female Leader, supported by a Host Leader, City Leader, Club Leader, Admin Leader, and optionally a Worship Leader.
Five roles. One Crew. Each carries a piece of the night.
The senior role. Carries the Crew. Holds the X tier of discipleship and oversees every other role on the team.
Owns the night. Food is the centerpiece. Atmosphere, parking, hospitality. The first face every new person sees.
Owns reach. Brings new people in. Plans and runs at least one outreach per SZN.
Owns the activity. Runs the Crew’s Club around a shared interest, open to the whole church. The lowest barrier door into Fearless.
Owns the engine. Time keeper, tech, schedule, PCO roster. Keeps the night sharp and on time.
Owns the worship moment, live or curated.
Clubs are the Rooms of X18. Where Fearless does community together around a shared interest. Pickleball. Coffee. Run club. Surf. Hike. Each Crew launches at least one Club within 2 weeks of the season, open to the whole church, not just the host Crew, and never at church time. The Club Leader runs it. The Crew Leader oversees.
The City is the yard. Where Fearless reaches out. Every Crew owns at least one outreach per SZN. The City Leader plans it, the Crew supports it, and the whole house takes the gospel into the neighborhood it sits in.
Examples: hotel outreach, street teams, food and clothing distribution, school connections, friend invites for Fearless large events (Jesus Saves, Conference, Leaders Party).
City rhythm: the City Leader hunts new people every Sunday at the X18 booth. The Crew Leader confirms one outreach lands per SZN.
Full City Leader expectations live in the Expectations tab.
What we hold each role accountable to. The baseline for every leader. Then pick your role to see your specific expectations.
Every leader role on every Crew is held to this baseline.
The opt in lane. Anyone can attend Crew. A Disciple is someone who has opted into being led.
Every leader role disciples someone. Your expectations include both your operational role AND your discipleship work.
Pick your role above to see its specific expectations. Every leader also carries the baseline shown above.
The senior role. Carries the Crew.
Owns the night experience.
Owns outreach.
Owns Club. How Fearless does community together. A shared activity around an interest, not a meeting. Open to the whole church. The lowest barrier door for someone new to walk through.
Owns the engine.
The Worship Leader owns the worship moment.
